Know what your selling – product knowledge is key! Take time to learn about features and benefits of the products to help you recommend.
Lean on your community – referrals and recommendations are super important They build trust with your customers and are a big help when growing a customer base.
Have a plan, set your goals and put them on paper Writing down what you want to achieve helps you to stick to your plans and hold yourself accountable.
Find an accountability partner Someone who can support you to keep going and striving for success.
Personalise the experience for your customer As soon as you offer celebrity service, this will make you stand out and customers will be more inclined to shop with you rather than elsewhere.
Build a personal brand Give customers the chance to buy into you, not just the products you sell.
Understand who your customers are Build a customer profile for each type of customer you have, and consider what service they need and tailor your approach to each one. Use Who, Where and How to help you profile, by breaking down who she is, where you will find her and how you can build a relationship.
Do your research Ensure that you feel a connection to the brand and what they stand for. This will make promoting your business feel natural.
Lead from the front A team will look to you for inspiration and motivation, if they see you doing something, they will assume this is the right thing to do.
Recognise success If someone has done a good job, tell them and share with your community. This will inspire and motivate others.
Build a community Whether it be a Facebook group, WhatsApp chat or whatever works for you, having a community will mean that everyone can turn to each other for advice and support, meaning you don’t have to do everything.
Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally But from what you do consistently.
Be present with your team Give them the time that they need to support them to grow and develop.
Use your support network Reach out to those around you for advice and be loud and proud when something goes well for you.
