Find Your Perfect Skincare Routine

Like with everything, everyone has a type. And skincare is no different. From oily, to dry and even a little bit in-between, your skin type is unique to you. But this can often make finding the best skin care routine that works, pretty tricky. Luckily for you, we’ve done all of the hard work and research and are here to showcase your skin type’s perfect routine.

Dry skin

Do you often wake up with skin that feels tight and looks flaky? This probably means your skin type is dry – but that doesn’t have to mean your skincare routine is too.

To start…

Start your day by cleansing with a moisture-rich face wash, preferably one that contains the super ingredient, hyaluronic acid. Gently pat your face dry and rehydrate your skin with a super-nourishing moisturiser, which includes another shot of hyaluronic acid for added boost.

To finish…

To get rid of the day’s make-up, wipe your face clean with an oil-based cleanser – this will help to stop your face from feeling tight. Apply an enriching serum and finish with thick and hydrating moisturiser that will slowly absorb into your skin as you sleep.

Oily skin

If you’re prone to breakouts and clogged pores, it’s looking like you’ve got oily skin. Don’t worry though, we’ve got the answer with these skin care routine steps.

To start…

Unlike those with dry skin, you need a cleanser that washes away any access oil. In terms of ingredients, I’d always recommend looking out for salicylic acid, which works to gently exfoliate your skin. In terms of moisturisers, you’ll need one that works to balance your skin with the likes of tea tree oil and salicylic acid.

To finish…

Have you heard of a double cleanse? It’s a beauty trend straight from South Korea, and it’s something you’ll really benefit from. Start off by melting away make-up with our Cleansing Balm, and double up your cleanse with your usual face wash.

Combination skin

If some areas of your face are oily and others dry, this usually means you’ve got combination skin. This type changes regularly with the seasons, so it’s important to pay attention to your skin to make sure it stays happy.

To start…

A gentle, creamy cleanser is the best, especially if it has hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin. Next, apply a hyaluronic-based cream to your dry areas, and a lightweight moisturiser to the rest of your face.

To finish…

Cleanse again with your morning face wash and apply an oil-balancing face cream to your t-zone area (or wherever it’s most greasy). To avoid your face drying out overnight, tend to the areas of your face that feel tight with an enriching moisturiser.

Mature skin

Are you noticing fine lines, discolouration and maybe even the occasional deep wrinkle? Don’t panic and start stock piling, it might just be that your skin would benefit from an anti-ageing skincare routine.

To start…

Use a cream cleanser and follow with a serum that focuses on your main problem area, whether that’s fine lines or skin tone. Complete your morning skin care routine with a moisturiser rich in peptides.

To finish…

Don't forget the most important way of ending the day - your night time skin care routine. Cleanse again, but this time finish with a night moisturiser that’s formulated with retinol. Our Anew Ultimate Infinite Effects combines the resurfacing effects of glycolic acid with the firming effects of retinol for an all-over anti-ageing skincare hero.
